Federal Government has said it will do some review to restructure the mode of operation of the National Social Investment Programmes, (NSIPs)
Federal government said efforts will be put in place to ensure adequate changes is met in terms of implementation of polices so as to ensure transparency and accountability.
In a statement by the Assistant Director (Information) in the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Rhoda Ishaku Iliya said the goal is to encourage efficiency and proper documentation of financial acitivites and adequate analysis of data by (NSIPs).
Ishaku said plans are already put in place by the ministry to ensure the overhauling program begins with N-Power and other Social Investment Programmes.
He added that the process will also affect the beneficiary enrolment and payments, including for consultancies are being scrutinized and stakeholders are being consulted for inputs that will lead to the total overhaul of the programmes in order to achieve the purposes for which they were established.
The Ministry said it was working to ensure that the beneficiaries of all NSIPs designed to be exited after specified periods will be prepared and exited through the best of the options presently under consideration by the government
