Deputy Police Chief, 4 AIGs Sent On Compulsory Retirement

Four Assistance Inspectors Generals (AIGs) and the Deputy Inspectors General (DIG) of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have been sent on leave to retirement on the orders of the Police Council Chaired by Vice President, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.

This was according to the Head of Media and communications in the Sierra Leone Police, Superintendent Brima Kamara.

The retired AIGs include Alfred Karrow Kamara – former Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Amos Kargbo – former Regional Commander for the North-West, Kalia Edward Sesay– former Director of Support Services and Peacekeeping, Ibrahim S. Koroma and Deputy Inspector General of Police Foday U.K Daboh respectively.

The retirement came few days after ten other senior police officers ranging from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSO) to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) who were dismissed from the force for various reasons.
