Nucentury Film Academy, Lokoja, Kogi State has issued certificates of completion to her first graduating students during her maiden convocation ceremony on 27th of November, 2020.
In a Press Release by the Founder of the Academy, Samuel Adeiza Jegede and obtained by AFAM News, a total number of twelve graduands were graduated by the school authorities with four major movies to their credit during the academic year.
‘VeliawaTV’ an online entertainment television is taking up the responsibility of promoting the graduands through consistent productions, Adeiza said.
Dignitaries present at the graduation ceremony include; Representatives of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Commissioner for Education, Commissioner for Women Affairs, Director of Protocol to the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, among others.
The Film Academy, according to the founder is aimed at helping both intending and core Actors as well as production crew to understand the rudiments of the profession and how to build a successful career in Nigerian movie industry.
Samuel stressed that the film academy engages her students in both theories and practical production processes. He added that the students are normally groomed with theoretical classes for the first one month, while they will be exposed to practicals for another one year to instill confidence and allow them to practice what they’ve been taught in class.
